October Rust, publicado originalmente en 1996, es uno de los trabajos más reconocibles de Type O Negative y una pieza clave del gothic metal de los 90. El álbum combina riffs pesados, melodías oscuras y el característico contraste entre romanticismo, humor negro y atmósferas densas de la banda.
